The Kubney’s specialize in unusual azaleas, hostas, and daylillies. The azaleas should be blooming and perhaps some of the daylillies will also be getting started. Bring a friend and a chair! Mr. W.A. Johnson of Lillington has generously offered to have his garden available for us to visit on May 18th as well. His garden was a tour garden during the Hosta Society convention in Raleigh. Mr. Johnson started his garden in 1945 and has been lovingly adding to it ever since. The 2+ acre garden is located at his home one block from the center of Lillington. The garden features formal, cottage garden and natural elements. The garden will be available from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM so that anyone wishing to visit can see both gardens.
